Hi sarah - hope you are not in too much pain after your fall ((hug))
I was wondering .... as you have to rest up for a while .... would you mind telling us about some of the rescue animals - your favourites, their story ... what mischief they get up to ... ?
It would be lovely for us to hear all about them
(i renamed the thread from fao sarah )

Hi Jan,
i wouldnt mind at all!!!! Where to start?!?!
One of my favourites......
Gabe, the coon coon pig was a good story. Gabe was given in to the arc by his previous owner, she got Gabe when he was a baby around the same size as a guinea pig and was told that he was a miniature pig and would not get that big. Unfortunatley he soon became to big to live in her flat in the middle of Aberdeen!!!!!
Thats right he was living in a flat!!! Gabe the pig, who also lived with a cat called Dolci (who is also at the arc) a rotweiller and some birds. I feel sorry for the neighbours lol!!!! So when Keith went down to pick up the pig in a flat! he was told that he would have to take Gabe out in a discreet manner because none of the neighbour knew she had a pet pig!!!
Gabe soon came to live with us at the arc and is one of the friendliest pigs you will ever meet! He is always the first to climb up his door to get his kiss and cuddle in the morning! Although he does have a nasty habit of tryin to play football....with your legs!!!!!
Gabe is let out to run around the yard on a nice sunny day and it is only a very silly....or fast person that will go in with him! His other favourite trick is to shout over his door that he is dying of thirst......look at poor me i have no water.
Of course this makes us think oh no poor Gabe, we run to get him some more water and fill up his bucket....after a while we started noticing that his water was going down VERY quickly so stayed to watch one day. The little monster was taking a few sips of water then tipping the rest of it onto the floor!!! We tried putting the bucket in a tyre bu he just flipped that too......the solution was to give him a sink!!!! Although it might be a good idea not to leave the plug in while there is no water in it as he finds it to be great fun to steal the plug and hide it!!!! Although Gabe is a lot of work he is a lovely boy.........most of the horses dont agree!!

Awwww....lovely piggy!!!! And living in a flat!!! I love piggies too! They are so clever! I rescued one from a back yard on a council estate a few years ago as she was going to be put down if not re-homed. Would have kept her, if not for the long term effect on my lovely grass! Found her a lovely new home where she would have company, but shed a few tears when she went...... Yes! Yes! More stories please!
